About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Business Analyst/Project Manager to join our core team in Warsaw. You will be the vital link between our business objectives, our passionate development team, and our clients in the financial sector. Your primary role will be to translate complex business needs from the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market into clear technical requirements, manage project execution, and ensure the successful delivery of our cutting-edge analytics platform.
About the Project
Our goal is to support the continued growth and professionalization of the ILS market by providing consistent, audit-ready valuations and real-time reference indices. These tools help the entire ILS ecosystem—sponsors, banks, managers, allocators, repo desks, auditors, regulators, administrators, and public stakeholders—understand how risk is being priced in the capital markets and how portfolios are performing relative to evolving market conditions.
By aligning capital markets with clear, data-driven valuation, we contribute to a more efficient and transparent global risk transfer system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Create clear user stories, process flows, wireframes, and technical specifications for the development team (Backend, Frontend, QA).
- Manage project scope, timelines, and priorities using Agile/Scrum methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the development team, clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguities, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to deliver intuitive and impactful user interfaces for complex financial data.
- Conduct gap analysis, validate solutions, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or similar hybrid role within a software development environment.
- Proven experience in writing technical specifications, user stories, and managing product backlogs.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Fluent English and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the financial services, insurance, or capital markets domain (highly desirable).
- Basic understanding of software development concepts (APIs, databases, etc.) to effectively communicate with developers.
- Familiarity with data analytics or BI tools.
