For our Client, a European organization in the security sector, we are recruiting candidates for the position of:
Proofreader / Editor
About the role
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the linguistic accuracy, consistency and quality of internal and external written documents and materials prepared for a dedicated Division or Unit within an international organization.
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Salary: PLN 9750 - 11900 gross
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring documents and texts comply with style guidelines, terminology standards and visual identity guidelines;
- Performing linguistic reviews of texts’ spelling, punctuation and typing errors;
- Editing documents and texts to improve readability, flow and quality;
- Supporting the preparation of various materials: communication materials, web content, briefing notes or reports;
- Integrating comments, amendments and corrections from multiple contributors into final documents.
Requirements:
- University degree in English Philology or Applied Linguistics (minimum C1 level);
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in proofreading and editing;
- Postgraduate studies related to publishing, proofreading or English language studies;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook);
- Knowledge of another EU language and experience in multilingual environment would be an advantage;
- Experience in areas related to migration, law enforcement, administrative or financial activities would be an advantage;
- Strong prioritization skills and service-oriented approach;
- Experience with professional layout tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Acrobat Pro) or MS Office Publisher would be an advantage.
